As an actor, Oliver has worked across film, television and theatre, most notably playing Kenny Everett in the BAFTA winning BBC4 film THE BEST POSSIBLE TASTE for which he was nominated for Best Actor at the RTS Awards. Other TV credits include: THE WRONG MANS, SHERLOCK, MISFITS, ENDEAVOUR and LEWIS.
Theatre Credits include Dylan in THE QUIET HOUSE (Birmingham Rep/Park Theatre), Ransom Foster in THE MAN WHO SHOT LIBERTY VALANCE (Park Theatre), Eddy in Steven Berkoff's GREEK (The Riverside Studios) to touring nationally and internationally with his critically-acclaimed theatre company Les Enfants Terribles, of which he is Founder and Artistic Director. A published playwright, his play IMMACULATE was listed in the top ten best-selling plays at Samuel French London in 2010, other published works include: LES ENFANTS TERRIBLES: COLLECTED PLAYS, FLIES and THE INFANT. Oliver has seen his work produced all over the world and translated into several different languages.
A past winner of Channel Four’s/4Talent’s Multi-Talented Award and also a Broadcast magazine Hotshot, Oliver is an accomplished film and television writer, co-creating the BBC 2 series WHITES, and the Rose D'or nominated ITV2 series FM. He has written on numerous other productions including MR SLOANE and Alan Davies LITTLE CRACKER for Sky, which he also directed.
He’s currently developing several original film and TV projects in the US, and has worked with networks including HBO and FX.
